Trip Itinerary
Upon your arrival, a representative from our company will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. If time allows, we will provide a guided tour of Thamel, assisting you in acquiring any necessary trekking equipment. In the evening, a welcome dinner will be arranged, accompanied by a brief overview of the trek, allowing ample time for questions.
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Soti Khola via local bus. Following the Budhi Gandaki River northward, the journey passes through picturesque villages such as Morder and Simre. The 7-8 hour drive on winding dirt roads brings you to Soti Khola, where you will stay for the night. All meals are included.
Embark on a trek that traverses a mule track, ascends a breathtaking cliffside path, and descends to Lapubesi (880m). Crossing the Nauli Khola on a suspension bridge, the trail follows the Budi Gandaki River, reaching Machha Khola (900m). Depending on conditions, an alternative overnight stop in Kashi Gaun may be considered. All meals are included.
Following the river to Khorlabesi, the trail passes Tatopani’s tepid spring (930m) and continues on the eastern bank of the Budi Gandaki River. Zigzagging across the river with several suspension bridges, the journey reaches Jagat (1,410m), the entrance to the Manaslu Conservation Area. All meals are included.
Climbing above Jagat, the trail passes through Salleri and Sirdibas before reaching Philim. Crossing the Buri Gandaki and Shar Khola Rivers’ junction, the trail ascends to Pewa and finally Deng (1,860m). The captivating fir and rhododendron forest on the north side of the Buri Gandak River adds to the charm. All meals are included.
Climbing beyond the Tom Khola, the trail reaches Longa Chuta, entering a captivating fir and rhododendron forest on the north side of the Buri Gandak River. Crossing back to the other side, the journey leads to Namrung (2,660m), a restored customs post from the days of transporting salt from Tibet. All meals are included.
The trail leads to Shyaula (5,320m), passing through valleys and trails to reach the remote village of Gompas. Continuing to Sama Gaun (3,530m), also known as Samagaun, the town boasts several fascinating monasteries. All meals are included.
At higher altitudes, acclimatization is necessary before attempting higher climbs. Explore the gompa at Pugyen (4,070m) or take a day hike to Birendra Tal (3,450m) and Manaslu Base Camp (4,900m). Optional trips to Milarepa’s Cave and the rugged rocks of the Pugin glacier are also available. All meals are included.
Descending to the Buri Gandaki River, passing the junction of Birendra Tal and Manaslu Base Camp, the trail reaches Kermo Khadka. Continuing to the white Kani Gateway, the journey enters Samdo (3,860m). Optional treks to the peak above the village for views of Mount Manaslu are available. All meals are included.
A relatively short day involves descending through fields and climbing toward the Larkya-La Pass, offering dazzling views of Manaslu and the Syacha Glacier. Dharmashala (4,480m) serves as the last safe haven before reaching the pass. The sector may be subject to snowfall, and the Samdo Lodge is typically closed from mid-December to mid-March. All meals are included.
A 4 to 6-hour trek crosses Lakya-La Pass (5,100m), the highest elevation on the trek. The climb is wintry and can be hazardous, depending on snow conditions. The trail descends to Bimtang (3,720m), offering stunning views of peaks such as Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kung, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. All meals are included.
Descending to Dudh Khola and Soti Khola (2,700m), the trail passes below the enormous Phunki Peak. Crossing the ridge and heading downhill, the journey reaches Gho village.
