The Helambu Gosainkunda trek commences at Sundarijal village, north of Kathmandu, and concludes at Dhunche village in the Langtang area. Trip Itinerary
Welcome to Nepal! The team will receive you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can either rest at your hotel or explore the vibrant Thamel area. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, visiting the iconic Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These culturally rich sites offer insights into Nepal’s ancient history and heritage. In the evening, the team will provide a briefing about the upcoming adventure.
Embark on a one-hour drive to Sundarijal, the starting point of the trek. Begin the trek through Shivapuri National Park, passing through the Tamang settlement of Mulkharka. Traverse ridges adorned with oaks and rhododendrons to reach Chisopani. Overnight in a guest house at Chisopani.
Commence the trek to Kutumsang, savoring views of the Langtang Mountains. The trail passes Pathi Bhanjyang and Gul Bhanjyang, climbing ridges to reach another pass. Spend the night in a local guest house in Kutumsang.
Embark on the journey from Kutumsang to Thadepati, trekking through steep tracks in fir and rhododendron forests. The trail ascends to Yurin Danda, offering glorious views of the Himalayas. Overnight in a local guest house in Thadepati.
Trek from Thadepati to Phedi, a 6-hour journey through forests, steep-rocky slopes, and Tadi Khola. Encounter tea houses at Ghopte for refreshment. Spend the night in a local guest house at Phedi.
Trek to the holy lake village of Gosainkunda through Lauribina Pass, reveling in superb mountain views. Early April showcases blooming rhododendrons, creating a vibrant landscape. Halt the night in a local lodge in Gosainkunda Village.
Explore the region and climb Surya Peak for breathtaking views of Langtang Himalaya range. Gosainkunda, a sacred lake, offers a serene atmosphere. The climb to Surya Peak at 5,145m provides higher elevation and stunning mountain vistas. Spend the night in a local lodge in Gosainkunda.
Trek from Gosainkunda Village to Chandanbari, passing through rhododendron and pine forests. Enjoy glorious views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Manaslu range, Hiunchuli, and Tibetan peaks. Chandan Bari features cheese factories, Buddhist monasteries, and lodges. Spend the night in a local lodge.
Trek from Chandan Bari to Dukhang, a small village inhabited by the Tamang people. The trail descends through Oak and Bamboo forests, offering panoramic views. Spend the night in tented camps in Dukhang.
Embark on an early morning drive to Kathmandu, enjoying scenic views of green hills, mountain peaks, and rural settlements. Transfer to your hotel, and the rest of the day is free for personal exploration or souvenir shopping. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Bid farewell to Nepal as you depart for your home country. The team will transfer you to Tribhuwan International Airport for your onward journey, leaving you with cherished memories of your Himalayan adventure.
