The trek commences with a scenic drive to Sundarijal, where you’ll traverse through the Shivapuri National Park, encountering lush forests, blooming rhododendrons, majestic waterfalls, and villages inhabited by the Tamangs and Sherpas. TarkeGyang, the principal village in the area, is rich in traditional and cultural practices, providing a delightful experience. The warm hospitality of the Sherpa and Tamang communities adds a personal touch to the journey.
Noteworthy attractions along the trek include the Shivapuri ridge offering sweeping views of the central Himalayas, Tarkeghyang (meaning “Buddhist temple with 100 horses”), Tibetan villages in the Langtang region, and stunning views of Langtang Ri, Ganesh Himal, Lang Sisa, and Chorkari Ri (5050m). The trek also encompasses the Langtang Valley, Gosainkunda lakes, and Helambu valley, providing a comprehensive experience.
