Trip Itinerary
Commence your journey with an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang region. The scenic drive of 7-8 hours covers approximately 122 km, offering views of lush hills and towering peaks. After reaching Syarubesi, embark on a trek to Rimche, a destination nestled at an altitude of 2,450 meters. The trail takes you across the Bhote Koshi River and Old Syabrubesi, offering glimpses of picturesque landscapes and mountain peaks.
Embark on a 6-7 hour trek from Rimche to Langtang Village. Cross the Langtang Valley Khola, trek uphill, and traverse terraced fields, rhododendron forests, and waterfalls. The trail offers encounters with Himalayan flora and fauna, including red pandas and musk deer. Enjoy breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Naya Kangri, Yala Peak, Dorje Lapka, and Gang Cheenpo. Reach Langtang Village, known for its natural beauty and trekking routes.
Embark on a short yet exciting trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa, covering approximately 3-4 hours. Follow the trail adorned with mani walls, prayer flags, and chortens. Witness the high-Himalayan flora and fauna, including the majestic Lantang II, Lantang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa Himal, Tserko Ri, and Loenpo Gang. Cross a suspension bridge and reach Kyanjin Gompa, a high-Himalayan religious settlement known for ancient Buddhist monasteries and a Yak Cheese Factory.
Embark on an early-morning hike to Kyanjin Ri, reaching an altitude of 4,300 meters. Enjoy spectacular views of Langtang Lirung, Yubra, Changbu, Yala Peak, and Tserko Ri. Return to Kyanjin Gompa, then trek back to Rimche. This day’s adventure offers panoramic memories of the Langtang Valley. The trek back to Rimche takes around 8-9 hours.
On the final day, trek back to Syabrubesi, an easy and vibrant journey through lush green landscapes. After a short trek of 4-5 hours, reach Syabrubesi and take a land transportation back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the cross-valley drive, relishing the beauty of civilizations, rivers, waterfalls, and Himalayan massifs.
